Commissioning

With a shift from grants to the commissioning of services, the Youth at the Centre Programme is working with community organisations to help them be involved in commissioning both

• Strategically - to influence local decision making about the commissioning of children and youth services; and
• Practically - as providers of commissioned children and youth services.

We are currently doing this in two ways:

• Workshops - we have run regional workshops on "How to survive commissioning: Top tips for community organisations on providing successful commissioned services". At present we have no future workshops planned, but details on the most recent event can be found by clicking here.
