Community Asset Transfer
The Community Asset Transfer programme is funded by Communities & Local Government as part of implementing the conclusions of the Quirk Review Making Assets Work.
The programme has been running since 2007 and is entering its fourth year, which as before will demonstrate in selected local authority areas how local authorities and local community-led third sector organisations can be supported to develop joint plans for asset transfer and to begin to implement them.
The demonstration programme is funded by Communities & Local Government as part of implementing the conclusions of the Quirk Review Making Assets Work and from 2009 managed by the Asset Transfer Unit, which has been set up to manage the Advancing Assets for Communities demonstration programme, which is delivered by the Development Trusts Association in association with Community Matters and the Local Government Association.
