Children and Young People
Children and young people are an integral part of our vision for active and sustainable communities in which everyone is valued and can play their full part. However, we recognise that children and young people - and community organisations working with them - have specific needs and challenges that must be addressed in order to achieve this vision.
Our aim is to support community organisations to provide safe and engaging activities, services and support that meet the needs of children and young people in their neighbourhoods. We do this in the following ways:
We also support those organisations wanting to work with
community organisations, such as Local Authorities, Registered Social
Landlords/Housing Trusts, private sector organisations, and schools.
Advice, guidance and support is available from us on a range of subjects:
- Engaging young people
- Safeguarding
- Intergenerational Practice
- Commissioning and procurement
- Community Buildings
- Business Planning
- Monitoring and evaluation
- Partnership brokerage and consortia
