Department for Education (DfE) Overarching Strategic Partnership programme
The Partnership aims to support the on-going development of the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) that works – or is considering working – with children, young people and families; and to share the best practice, expertise, learning and concerns of the sector with the DfE.
The Strategic Partnership activities will include:
- Developing organisations by delivering a wide range of training and learning opportunities
- Improving ability of the sector to influence policy and practice by gathering the perspectives of thousands of organisations and community interest groups to feed back to the Department.
- Strengthening networks by disseminating information, expertise and resources
These activities will support organisations to learn from each other, improve sustainability and explore their potential for growth – for instance through accessing diverse funding mechanisms, public sector commissioning, building consortia and entrepreneurial ways of doing business. The concerns and experiences of the sector will be shared with the DfE throughout the course of the two year programme.
