Free Neighbourhoods Study Tour

This spring The Glass-House Community Led Design will host Study Tours in three northern locations - Sheffield, Manchester and Liverpool. These themed one-day tours are offered free to community groups and visit a range of community led projects which are intended to provide inspiration to groups for their own buildings, spaces, homes or neighbourhoods.

The Neighbourhoods Study Tour will give participants an understanding of how a mixture of good partnership working with the council and community led action can have a positive impact on a neighbourhood. It will focus on projects run by South Owlerton Area Regeneration (including artist studios, street improvements and public spaces) but also take in a housing initiative where residents have played a major role in the development.

As well as giving you the chance to visit some inspirational regeneration projects, the day will be an opportunity to speak to other groups who are doing similar things and share ideas with them. You will be joined throughout the day by a design professional who will be able to answer technical questions and will be encouraging you to analyse the sites we visit.
