IVAR and Sheffield Hallam University to run public benefit workshops
The Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR) and Sheffield Hallam University on behalf of the Charity Commission are conducting a study on:
What the public benefit requirement means for charities
How the focus on public benefit has affected charities
The consequences for the charity sector as a whole
The study findings will feed into the Charity Commission's ongoing policy work on the public benefit requirement and a copy of the final report will also be submitted to Lord Hodgson who is chairing the Review of the Charities Act 2006.
Workshops are being held from 2pm to 4.30pm in:
Sheffield on Tuesday 6th March
London on Monday 12th March
Cardiff on Thursday 15th March
