Licensing Act consultation on removal of DPS requirement for community centres and village halls

Community Matters consulted with some of its members on this consultation and the consensus of opinion that the 3rd opinion was the most workable. We have therefore recommended this in reponse to the consultation. We have made the point that consistency of approach is essential so the guidelines to Local Licensing Authorities should generally be a presumption to grant the disaplication for the need for a Personal License Holder and DPS unless there are specific grounds for refusing.
