Quirk Review

Advancing Assets for Communities: Demonstration Programme Round 2
Following the first round of the Demonstration Programme (May 07-March 08) we are now launching the second round of this piece of work, which as before will demonstrate in selected local authority areas how local authorities and local community-led third sector organisations can be supported to develop joint plans for asset transfer, in line with the recommendations of the Quirk Review, and to begin to implement them.

The demonstration programme is funded by Communities & Local Government as part of implementing the conclusions of the Quirk Review ‘Making Assets Work’. It is led by the Development Trusts Association and delivered in partnership with Community Matters, the Local Government Association and ACRE.

In the next round we will be working with 30 local authorities across England, contributing in each place around 10 days of free, tailored consultancy advice and support.

We are now looking for Expressions of Interest from Local Authority areas across England. If your Local Authority is interested in submitting an Expression of Interest please download and complete the form below. You will also find further details about the programme and the selection criteria in the Explanation Document below.

If you have any queries about the programme and your Local Authorities' Expression of Interest, please contact either the DTA or Graham Willmington at Community Matters (graham.willmington@communitymatters.org.uk 020 7837 7887)
